Dear all,

Drogheda Institute of Further Education is continuing to work on college reopening plans for the return of college students this September. We are looking forward to welcoming and supporting the class of 2021/22 on your career journey. Classes for the new academic year are planned to commence on the week of the 20th of September. The college will communicate with students directly regarding upcoming Student Registrations and Inductions, in addition to access to support services, funding and IT supports, physical distancing and health and safety guidelines.

We are currently finalising student timetables and looking at arrangements to ensure the safe return of both staff and students to the college campus in line with Government guidelines for Further and Higher Education.

I would also like to extend best wishes to Leaving Certificate students receiving their results and offers in the coming days. I would like to acknowledge the great work by both students and teachers alike in schools, over the last year and I hope students feel a great sense of pride in their accomplishments. I would like to remind you of the many pathways now available to your career goal and encourage you to make an informed decision in relation to your college place. Drogheda Institute has over 50 courses for learners to choose from with excellent links to both employment and degree courses in Universities and IT’s in Ireland, UK and Europe.

Additionally, a reminder, that we will hold their final Virtual Open Day this year for prospective students on Wednesday the 8th of September between 5pm-6.30pm. Prospective learners can join to hear about the college, courses & progression routes from Drogheda Institute to both employment & degree courses. A link and access details will be published on the college website and on social media platforms in advance of the event.

Finally, DIFE are delighted to announce the launch of our Explore College Options Drop-in Sessions in Drogheda Institute on Monday the 6th & Wednesday the 8th of September between 10am – 2pm. These sessions have been developed to assist Leaving Certificate students who may be unsure about their college progression and considering their future path after receiving both their Leaving Certificate results and CAO offers. Learners will have the opportunity to speak to our dedicated guidance team about progression and career pathways available to learners through courses in Drogheda Institute of Further Education.

If you have any queries or need any support, please contact us and we will endeavour to support you in any way we can.
