Aim:
To give students the opportunity to make an informed decision about courses in colleges of Art and Design and careers in related areas. Students will learn how to generate ideas for a range of Art and Design disciplines with the aim of identifying their area of study when progressing to Third Level education.
This award can be used instead of the Leaving Certificate for entry into Third Level Colleges of Art and Design.
Progression & Career Options:
Portfolio Preparation for Third Level Education is the main component of this course. Students can continue their studies in their chosen area or specialism at one of the many Third Level Colleges of Art, Craft and Design in Ireland or the UK, or progress to a career in a related area.

Aim:
This course is designed for people interested in all areas of Art, Craft & Design as a business. The course introduces students to professional practice in Art, Craft and Design. Working in a studio environment students will follow a self directed, tutor led programme of study. As part of their studies students will also complete a Start Your Own Business programme.
Entry Requirements:
Applications are invited from those who have completed QQI Level 5 and from mature applicants with relevant experience in the area of Art Craft and Design.
