This comprehensive course aims to provide students with both the knowledge and practical skills necessary to access science based Degree programmes (including Sports Science) in both Institutes of Technology and Universities.

Aim:
Biopharma is one of the largest industrial employers in Ireland with many of the largest biopharma multinationals operating here. This programme is designed to develop skills and competence to work as a laboratory scientist. It delivers core science modules and fundamental practical skills training. The primary focus of the course is to provide a foundation in pharmacuetical studies.

Students who successfully complete are awarded a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Food Science.
Aim:
The Irish food industry is very important to the Irish economy. Irish food companies are becoming some of the most successful food entities in the world. There are currently over 150,000 people employed in this sector. This course is ideally suited for students who are prepared to enter a career in agriculture, food or science. The course also gives a solid introduction to Food Science and Technology for students who wish to pursue a Food Science Degree in Universities and Institutes of Technology both here in Ireland and abroad.
